Cody Thompson Enters Silver Dollar Nationals at I-80

Cody Thompson entered the opening round of the 12th annual Imperial Tile Silver Dollar Nationals on Friday night at I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Neb.).

A stellar field of 53 Modifieds were registered for action in the $4,000-to-win program, and Cody earned the 16th-starting spot for the feature via preliminary action.

He raced around mid pack for the majority of the event before crossing the finish line in the 15th position.

Saturday's program at I-80 Speedway was delayed to Sunday by rain. Unfortunately when action resumed on Sunday afternoon, luck wouldn't be on Cody's side as a broken brake floater brought his night to an early end.
