Thompson competes in Dale DeFrance Memorial at Marshalltown Speedway
Cody Thompson took part in the Dale DeFrance Memorial at Marshalltown Speedway (Marshalltown, Iowa) on Friday evening behind the wheel of his Dakota Coating Solutions No. 25C IMCA Modified. The event, which had been postponed the previous Friday, attracted 42 Modified entries.
Thompson finished sixth in his heat race on the quarter-mile oval, however, he transferred to the 34-lap, $3,044-to-win feature by winning his B-Main from the pole.
Thompson started 22nd and finished 14th in the IMCA Modified main event.
He had also planned to race at Park Jefferson Speedway (Jefferson, South Dakota) on Saturday, but the event was rained out.
