Early exit at Mississippi Thunder Speedway

Venturing north to Wisconsin, Cody Thompson unloaded his Dakota Coating Solutions No. 25 Modified at Mississippi Thunder Speedway (Fountain City, Wis.) on Thursday for the event serving as the track’s 16th season opener.

Thompson battled early issues in his heat race and B-Main that relegated him to the tail of the feature. Starting in 22nd, Cody was an early retiree from the 30-lapper with 10 circuits remaining.

The USMTS Featherlite Fall Jamboree scheduled for Friday and Saturday was washed out by wet weather.
